This pond with stream and wetland system is in Santa Cruz. The challenge was to build the feature alongside the house in a very confined space.  The customer wanted a curved ipe bridge over the pond and a waterfall incorporating a drilled boulder.  There was a very beautiful accent tree, a maple that needed to be saved and worked around. The pond contained a turtle as well as fish, with the ipe bridge protecting the fish from herons.  Along with the water feature embracing an Asian theme there was a Feng Shui consultant brought in to give advice on some of the hardscaping and landscaping.
